Damage to exterior at spine and corners; leather is rubbed off almost completely. Hinges intact. Pages tanned, with some slight chips along edges. Former owner's name written on front free endpaper. Condition: Fair + $350.00


Marshall Family

[n.p.]: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Unbound. Good 17 pp. Manuscript-format on the descendants of Robert Marshall (1802-1855), of Lambton County, Ontario. Descendants include Marshall A. Wheatley, author of The Family of John Wheatley. Held by a single staple, pages are yellowed, with three small stains on first page, and a few annotations to the body of the work. Condition: Good $20.00


Munger Family
[000055] . Munger Family Bible. Folio - over 12" - 15" tall. Full-Leather. Leather bound. Although title page is lacking, I believe this to be 'The Holy Bible, Containing the Old and New Testaments: Together with the Apocrypha. Translated Out of the Original Tongues, and with the Former Translations Diligently Compared and Revised. With Canne's Marginal Notes and References. To Which are Added, an Index; an Alphabetical Table of all the Names in the Old and New Testaments, with their Significations; Tables of Scripture Weights, Measures, and Coins, & c. ' The family record, four pages long, begins with the births of William Munger on April 4, 1783 and his wife, Eunice Coleman on August 12, 1795. Married on November 10, 1810, the registry records subsequent births, marriages and deaths. Allied lines: Alling, Chase, Cole, Hurlbut, Marquis, Williamson, Woodruff. Laid in: two (identical) portraits of William Munger: one is an original photo ca 1860s;, the second a reproduction of that photo, made by F.A. Rinehart of Omaha; an obituary for Munger descendant Pamela Hale Coleman Allen (Mrs. Henry) dated Sept 9, 1915. Boards are separated from textblock. Covers are scuffed and torn. Initial pages, including title page missing; final pages also missing with the last few detached. Begins with Genesis (chapter 1, verse 1) and ends on p. 764. Pages are soiled from the deteriorating leather. Heavy foxing. This bible, while in poor condition, still contains a wealth of genealogical information. $150.00

[000007] Woodruff, Lila C. The Munger Family. : , 1911. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Unbound. . Fair / No Jacket. Leather-covered with gilt lettering, this presumably self-published, typed manuscript records details information about the family of William Munger (1783-1871), his wife, Eunice Coleman (1875-1842), their descendants, and some of their ancestors. William Munger was a descendant of Nicholas Munger (b. 1683), and the son of Lyman Munger (1755-1835). Cordelia Eleanor Munger (1831-1900), ninth child of William and Eunice Coleman Munger, married Rev. Everett Beman Hurlbut; it is their daughter, Lila Cole Hurlbut Woodruff, who compiled this work. At page [33] begins 3.5 pages documenting the ancestry of the Hurlbuts, whose progenitor, Thomas Hurlbut, came to America in 1635. Typed on light-weight typing paper. Leather cover is fragile and disintegrating. Condition: Fair. $150.00

Hinges cracked front and back, but still hanging on by a thread. Name of former owner on verso of frontispiece. Front end paper loose. Condition: Fair. $200.00


Wheatley Family
[000057] Wheatley, Marshall A.. The family of John Wheatley, pioneer of Lambton County, Ontario, Canada. [n.p.], 1963. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Original Wraps. Fair 67 pp. Softcover, self-published account of the John Wheatley family. Includes index and a list of names and addresses of about forty of the persons mentioned in the book. Black and white illustrations, oversized pages of descendant charts were tipped in (but have since come unglued). Front cover has two small stains. Back cover has a three-inch tear, some pages stained from dried glue. Previous owner has made annotations on several pages. Condition: Fair + $35.00
